Julio Alejandro Alvizo
Sanchez, better know as J-Alvizo (born July 17, 1982) as a fashion
designer and founder of the J-Alvizo brand.
J-Alvizo became interested in
men and women’s fashion while in primary school in his native
Guadalajara, Mexico when he apprenticed under his mother Eusebia
seamstress and pattern maker for major brand name companies. At 15
J-Alvizo moved to L.A. to pursue his interest in fashion. There he
studied Design and Psychology at California State University Los
Angeles. He was featured in the annual school fashion show 3 years in
row, though only seniors are awarded that honor.
His first floor boutique
(York Fashion) was established in the city of Alhambra California (2006)
with business partner Dennis Arrivillaga. There, exclusive after-hour
parties were held for selected clients. Once locally known, J-Alvizo was
created, marking the end of York Fashion.
In January 2010 J_Alvizo
created J-Alvizo.COM, expanding its services but continuing his motto of
exclusivity. Friends/Clients of J-alvizo include Elizabeth Espinosa
(KTLA Channel 5), Yesi Ortiz (Power 106 Radio), Danny (E-Glamour
Photography) among others.
